Before each class, adults are sent two Montessori articles to read. Then the weekly class has three parts. For the first hour we focus on connecting the child to the materials and the environment by staying focused on tending to and observing them. Then we prepare a communal snack. After snack, the adults are able to socialise freely or discuss that week’s articles, while the children continue to play.  It is important to me that families have a chance to get to know one another and don’t need to arrange an outside meet up to do so.

Nursing and napping (for the children) during class is encouraged. The child's schedule is more important than ours so everything is flexible to meet their needs. Please look at our gallery to see images from a typical class session.

First you'll receive a registration email where I'll confirm suitability, availability and arrange payment.​ All accommodations are asked for and discussed before registration is complete. I will strive to ensure you can attend comfortably and participate fully.

Second you'll receive an orientation email which will address everything else you'll need to know, including providing the exact location of the course.​

Impossible. The environment and program is designed to meet all of your child’s needs. If you would like more reassurance then please get in touch directly.

If class needs to be cancelled then an extra week will be added at the end of the course. Usually a substitute teacher is called in if I am not available. Unfortunately refunds are not given for missed classes, however an hour of consultation or visiting the toddler class is sometimes offered to help make up.
