I’m so glad you asked. Siblings are charged at 50%. So the program will be $45 per class for two children, $60 for three.

If your infant is not walking they will not be charged the sibling rate but can come along for free and will be provided for and included.

Yes! If there is an Open House playgroup scheduled then I prefer you attend that however if there is space available you are more than welcome to come and sample a class. It will be charged at $30.

If the program has started but registration is open, then there is space in the class and you may join us at any time. I will do my best to catch you up. If the class is full then you will be added to a waitlist and contacted if a space opens up. Classes are limited to 8 children. You may exit the program at any time, you just need to give two weeks notice if possible.

The weekly class has three parts. For the first hour we focus on connecting the child to the materials and the environment by staying focused on tending to and observing them. Then we prepare a communal snack. After snack, the adults are able to socialise freely while the children continue to play.  It is important to me that families have a chance to get to know one another and don’t need to arrange an outside meet up to do so. This also gives us time to discuss the article for that week, bring up any questions or ask for help in any way.

The child’s curriculum consists of the materials on the shelves which will change every five weeks so that you get to try a wonderful range of materials that support the development of practical life skills, gross and fine motor skills, sensorial skills plus fundamental language and math skills. There is also some culture and science thrown in plus the opportunities for social and emotional development. 

For parents, the 24 articles and 5 discussion groups take you through the principles of Montessori, the role of the parent and the child, child development, the environment, care routines, interactions, family life and being in community.

Sometimes families simply want a weekly place to be with their child. I am so happy to be able to offer that. At A Montessori Nest you may take what you like and leave the rest. I want you to feel included and supported, not pressured.

If class needs to be cancelled then an extra week will be added at the end of the year. Usually a substitute teacher is called in if Tracy Allen is not available. If a family needs to miss a class then they are welcome to make it up by attending the program on the other day of the week, whenever they can make that work. Refunds are not given for missed classes.

Classes are charged, in advance, at $150 for every five weeks of the program. The first five weeks are  charged at registration.

Weeks 6-10: September 30th - October 28th 

Weeks 11-15: November 4th - December 9th (No class November 25th)

Weeks 16-20: January 6th - February 3rd 

Weeks 21-25: February 10th - March 10th

Weeks 26-30: March 24th - April 21st

Thursday circle:

Weeks 1-5: August 27th - September 24th

Week 6-10: October 1st - October 29th 

Weeks 11-15: November 5th - December 10th (No class November 26th)

Weeks 16-20: January 7th - February 4th 

Weeks 21-25: February 11th - March 11th

Weeks 25-30: March 25th - April 22nd

Parent Discussion evenings for both classes:

Monday September 21st, October 26th, December 7th, February 1st, March 8th and April 19th.
